A key vacancy has arisen in the Learning Support team at Carshalton College for a second lead person to assess and plan support for learners who have a medical condition, physical disability, mental health issues, visual impairment or a learning difficulty. You will act as a Lead Professional for an agreed caseload of learners providing finely tuned advice and guidance on reasonable adjustments to teachers and in class support staff. You will also be responsible for conducting reviews including annual reviews of EHCPs and writing high needs support provision maps.

You will have a clear understanding of what these requirements are in an educational context, and will have a proven track record of assessing and supporting learners to achieve success. You will also be a proactive and motivated person committed to developing the service including working with other professionals such as a speech and language therapist and specialist teachers of specific learning difficulties.

You will also co-ordinate a team of Learning Support Workers and work with external agencies to provide a high quality and responsive service.  You will have strong organisational skills, a multi-disciplinary approach and a good working knowledge of the Equality Act 2010 and SEND Reforms 2014.
