The post holder will be working in a high profile, fast paced government department working to tight deadlines. This will entail meeting demanding performance targets within a tightly controlled quality framework. Iy is temporary long term assignment paying £8 oper hours and increasing to £12 after 12 working weeks.

Carrying out specific administrative tasks in line with established processes and instruction such as producing casework letters and financial support paperwork.

AO Payments Officer

  • Casework support including liaising with internal and external stakeholders (as well as dealing with sensitive information and investigation of issues raised)
  • Checking the accuracy of payment claims made by local authorities by data matching against Home Office records
  • Providing administrative support to integration loan caseworkers in processing integration loan applications, preparing loan offer letters and loan agreements accurately and within set timescales
  • Providing a professional customer service all those who use the services provided by the team, and this will include both written and verbal communications.
  • Providing support to caseworkers and managers to ensure strict deadlines are met
  • Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of a number of relevant information systems
  • Escalate issues of concern/risk to team managers

Quality Assurance

  • Quality assure all payments documentation produced prior to them being passed to Finance for authorisation
  • Ensure that data matching of payment claims is consistent and accurate records maintained
