Public Sector Resourcing is currently seeking a Procurement Director for a 9 month contract on behalf of Public Sector Client.
Location: London
Purpose of the Role:
Our client is scheduled to take on full delegated authorities from 1st July 2018 for building the railway between Bicester and Cambridge. The Central section of the railway between Bedford and Cambridge will be a completely new section of railway. The route is scheduled to be chosen in first quarter 2019, and this will then be followed by detailed work on route alignment and design to feed into the Development Consent Order application in 2021 as well as the tender documentation for a Design, Build, Finance, Maintain and potentially Operate contract for the construction and operation of the Central section. The railway is planned to be operating services by the end of 2027.
The Candidate:
* Procurement experience of service based contracts
* Experience of different contractual and incentive based payment mechanisms
* Experience of letting or bidding for a large technical design contract in the rail sector and/or a major rail infrastructure design and development contract.
* Experience of the requirements required for the letting of a large DBFM contract
