About the role

Bath Spa University is looking for an experienced administrator with an excellent knowledge of data management, analysis and reporting, ideally gained in an education environment.

This is a brand new post, created to help shape Bath Spa University’s vision to reach and maintain excellence in data quality and statutory reporting.  As we prepare for the introduction of Data Futures and other significant changes across the sector, this post will play a leading role in the University’s information management activity.

About you

Educated to degree level, the post holder will work as a leading and integral member of the Student Records team, ensuring that the institution’s student-based statutory reporting requirements are met throughout the year. The post will lead on all aspects of the HESA Student Record and other student reports and returns and will develop and promote best practice relating to student data and data quality.

The post holder will work closely with other teams such as IT Services, Business Intelligence and Strategy to ensure that relevant systems and procedures are fit for purpose and able to react to forthcoming changes in Higher Education data landscape.  Excellent communication skills are therefore essential to ensure that all student data related processes are accurate, complete and run in a timely fashion.
