The Client

CHP is a locally managed and governed charitable housing association based in Chelmsford, Essex and was recently named one of the top 25 housing associations to work for in the Sunday Times Best Not-For-Profit Organisations.

Role and Responsibilities

Named by Inside Housing as a top 40 developing housing association, and having achieved top ratings for financial viability and governance from the Regulator of Social Housing, CHP is looking to recruit a Clerk of Works to work in the Development team to help become the leading provider of affordable housing in Essex.

Having built over 2,500 new properties in the last ten years and with an overall portfolio of nearly 9,500 homes, CHP has an ambitious and exciting development programme.

Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will ensure quality of work and compliance with health and safety regulations on all new build properties, advising on legislation changes and carrying out site inspections.

Additional Information

With a building background, construction knowledge and the ability to meet targets, you will need use of a vehicle for work purposes.

A car allowance of £1,056 per annum will be paid in addition to the annual salary. A business mileage rate for duties relating to CHP business will also be applied.
