Vehicle Rental Clerk

Salford Van Hire Ltd, one of the country’s leading vehicle rental and contract hire companies are looking to recruit an additional Vehicle Rental Clerk who will be based within our high energy rental department at our Head Office address in Manchester.

Applicants with experience in this field are preferred, but those with established experience in a face to face customer service role will also be considered.

All applicants should have excellent communication, people skills and telephone manner, be self-motivated with a positive attitude and be reliable and of smart appearance.

You must be able to work as part of a team, as well as alone, and be able to follow instructions precisely and efficiently in a very busy environment.

Basic computer skills are a minimum requirement and being able to remain focused and pay attention to detail are beneficial.

Duties will include but are not limited to: handling and distributing telephone calls, leasing of vehicles, dealing with customers, both on the phone and face to face, keeping rental information updated on a regular basis, dealing with emails and data entry.

100% timekeeping and attendance is paramount for this role.

Hours of work: Two weekly rotating shifts (1) Mon -Fri 7am – 3pm plus Saturday 8am – 6pm and    (2) Mon – Fri 11am – 7pm

There is also a requirement for Sunday 9am – 4.30pm, this is based on a rota that is approximately 1 in 7 weeks.
