We are now looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our team in Tiverton.

The Role 

As an Accounts Assistant, you’ll provide a high level of support to our School Accountant. 

In this varied role, you will: 

- Perform a range of accounting tasks for the school, as well as our trading subsidiary, Horsdon Enterprises
- Maintain the sales and purchase ledgers 
- Add sales and returns from the school’s shop to the monthly spreadsheet
- Prepare bank reconciliations
- Maintain the fees ledger 
- Receive and sign for any deliveries to the Bursary

About You 

To join us as our Accounts Assistant, you’ll need: 

- Experience of working in an office environment 
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel, including data functions 
- At a minimum, GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C or above 
- An interest in business and finance 
- A great eye for detail 

We’re eager to hear from you if you’ve worked as an Administrator, Office Assistant, Office Administrator, Office Clerk, Secretary, Receptionist, Admin Assistant, Admin Clerk, PA or EA. 

Other organisations may call this role Finance Assistant, Finance Administrator, Accounts Administrator or Accounts Assistant. 

This is a full time role, working five days per week, including school holidays, 9:00 – 17:00, Monday – Friday. You will occasionally be required to work Saturday mornings.
