Due to a busy order book and a very successful 2017 CoorsTek in Crewe are expanding and have a vacancy for a CNC grinder in our ceramic machining process. If you've had experience of precision grinding in a quality focussed and flexible environment and enjoy a challenge, then we'd like to hear from you.

CoorsTek Advanced Materials in Crewe are currently recruiting for a CNC Setter / Operator (Fanuc) with experience of milling and/or turning components in various materials that has a flexible and inquisitive approach. Training on machining high-spec and very hard-wearing technical ceramics will be provided and salary is dependent on experience and qualifications.

The basic working week is 37.75 hours Mon - Fri day shift, with possible overtime after training. The company contributes 6% to employee pensions and employees start with 30 days annual leave increasing by one day every five years they are employed

Main Duties and Responsibilities- CNC Setter/ Operator (Engineering) - Crewe, Cheshire

• Perform multi-axis CNC machinery set-up function by downloading preset programmes, making adjustments to or creating programmes when needed to direct the sequence of machine operation
• Operate CNC and manual manufacturing equipment to produce acceptable product per work instructions
• Read and interpret technical drawings to determine machine set-up and production methods
• Inspect parts for defects as part of in-process inspection; record results, adjust program or notify appropriate person of deviation when needed
• Perform machine adjustments such as off-sets or setting tapers and basic preventative maintenance such as changing coolants, filters, etc.
• Follow work instructions to ensure quality standards are met
• Clean work area, machines, tools and equipment
• Train incoming CNC Set-up personnel on processes and procedures

Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:- CNC Setter/ Operator (Engineering) - Crewe, Cheshire
• Must have previous experience of setting / operating Fanuc or Siemen controlled CNC milling machines/lathes
• Previous experience of using manual milling machine/lathe highly desirable
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Previous experience of using CAD or equivalent is desirable
• Previous experience of manufacturing a wide variety of materials is advantageous
