FRONT-END WEB DESIGNER

We’re seeking a talented and highly capable front-end developer to join our team with immediate effect.

You will join our growing agency team of 9 people and will help us to complete our front-end website builds.

You will have excellent responsive CSS skills and will become a powerhouse behind building our WordPress websites. Working from a design, you will use your keen typographical eye to craft websites using CSS skills and tools like Visual Composer. You will have a strong understanding and in-depth experience of WordPress, understanding how best to structure plages, create layouts, best utilise widgets and ensure optimised responsiveness.

WORKING WITH OUR TEAM

You’ll work in our compact team from our centrally-based studio in Leicester’s Creative Quarter. You’ll head in to the Phoenix Cinema, Art Centre, café and workspaces in the morning from 8.30 -9am. There’s countless places to park and an ever increasing number of good coffee and pastry outlets on approach. You can drive to the door of our offices, arrive by train which is just a few minutes away by foot or strategically (and healthily) avoid the parking charges and park in Knighton or Clarendon Park and enjoy a brisk short walk across Victoria Park and down the hill to the city. It’s up hill on the way home but there’s plenty of buses – and Leicester still has Uber, of course!

Sat within an open plan office you’ll have a spacious desk, the latest kit, the sounds of SONOS in the background (bring your playlists) and a consistent supply of coffee, biscuits, the odd home made cake and of course FREE FRUIT MONDAYS! It’s the small things!

Work is carried out within the team as whole and we want you to collaborate with those around you, discuss new methods of achieving the desired results, assess your creative or digital execution and work towards (always) delivering the most effective solution against the brief provided.

Take a look at our sector focus or portfolio of work and you’ll have an idea of the types of clients we work with and the types of projects we undertake. It’s broad in terms of output but to summarise would be that we create effective marketing tools (websites, brochures, brand identities etc) that allow our clients to communicate their products and services in order to gain competitive advantage by winning market share and making sales that generate profitable revenue.

We work as a team and the hours are not as arduous as they once were (in this industry). We do expect you to work efficiently and effectively but we do not expect you to work for nothing and the package, which includes health care, pension, bonus (and fruit) will be competitive proportionate to your experience and output.

CHARACTER

We’re seeking an operator who has ideas, conviction, compassion, empathy, understanding and an awareness of others. We need them to possess a creative eye, a passion for crafting and a love of alignment. Most of all we need this person to inject energy in to the room – when you walk in, things are looking up!
