The Doctoral College was established to support the University's vision to become a sector leading provider of Postgraduate Researcher (PGR) supervision and support and early career researcher (ECR) training and opportunities. By supporting the recruitment and development of world-class PGRs and ECRs, the Doctoral College will drive a step change in the Exeter experience and the research excellence to which such researchers contribute.

We bring together institution-wide support, training, and administration for all of our postgraduate and early career researchers, working across all six Academic Colleges within the University as well as key Professional Services, to ensure that postgraduate and early career researchers have an outstanding start to their research careers.

The PGR Support Team are accountable for the full PGR administrative lifecycle. In your role you will deliver a high quality, customer focused administrative support service to students, academic staff and other stakeholders. Acting as the first point of contact for queries you will provide advice and guidance as a central information point ensuring the consistent and correct application of processes and procedures. Using your customer service and communication skills you will contribute to the continuous development of the service we offer, developing and supporting new ways of working and improving the student experience.

You will need knowledge and experience of databases and records systems, excellent attention to detail, organisation and planning skills and the ability to communicate effectively when handling complex queries.
