Estimator / Cost Planner
My client is a leading construction, housing and property services contractor based in the Midlands area and they are looking for an experienced Estimator with extensive new build housing background.
The client is looking for a candidate who is able to analyse land appraisals, formulate and submit comprehensive cost estimates & plans for large new build affordable / private housing developments and work with the commercial team to put tender packs and proposals together.
1) Analyse drawings and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
2) Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.
3) Consult with clients, suppliers, & personnel in other departments or construction management to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
4) Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and sub-contractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
5) Prepare estimates used by Senior Management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
