Our client is a reputable Multi-Disciplinary Consultancy who provide
consultancy services to clients throughout the UK. They are now
seeking to recruit an Assistant Ecologist to join their busy team in
Derbyshire.

Role responsibilities will include a wide range of field surveys over
the busy survey season, alongside office-based work such as day-to-day
data analysis and management, input to fee proposals & attendance at
team meetings. Typical survey's you will be regularly involved with
include great crested newts, bats, water voles and badgers -
particular skills in botany or ornithology would be a distinct
advantage.

The successful candidate:
-A relevant degree as a minimum is required, as is a full driving
licence, plus good ICT skills including MS Word and Excel.
-An eye-for-detail, GIS capability and/or previous experience of
surveying and mitigation will be an advantage.
-A working knowledge of relevant UK and European legislation, policy
and guidance is essential as are project management capabilities,
communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
-You will be required to produce Health and Safety risk assessments
and method statements and maintain records.
