Service/Test Technician
Can you fault find down to component level and understand circuit diagrams? If so then please read on! We are seeking a Service Technician to join a dynamic team at a busy manufacturer in Littlehampton, West Sussex.
Depending upon your experience they can pay you up to GBP31,000, on top of this you'll get 24 days of leave, all 8 bank holidays on top of that, you can purchase shares there after probation, overtime is usually there if you want it at 1.5 times hourly breakdown, double time if you did any on a Sunday. There is a pension contribution, childcare vouchers, free parking and a very in demand free vending machines!
This is a permanent position, working hours are typically 7:30am to 4:45pm (30mins lunch) with an earlier finish on Fridays at 12:30, a 40 hour working week.
So what will I do as a Service Technician?
* Evaluate the product and Diagnose faults.
* Raise Engineering Change Requests in relation to unit problems
* Place orders for spare parts if necessary in order to carry out repair work.
* Repair units
* Be involved in customer queries
* Testing
What do I need?
These Electro/Mechanical products are fundamentally driven by the electronics within them, therefore this role will be predominantly servicing the electrical elements of the products. Having a good comprehension and being able to read Circuit Drawings is vital!
You'll also be competent at identifying and rectifying faults with a good attitude and someone not afraid to work hard and become a valued asset within the team.
Previous experience as a Service Technician or a Test Technician would be advantageous of course, yet experience of circuit diagrams and fault finding is essential. You'll need to be able to work under pressure, be self motivating and handle repetition on occasions.
