We have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Planner to join our team in Stanley Green, Wilmslow.


The role is primarily responsible for purchasing materials (no negotiating with suppliers) into the business to support demand and to ensure appropriate stock levels at all times. You will need to strive for excellence in customer service whilst maintaining appropriate stock levels working in a challenging commercially dynamic business.

Supply Chain Planner Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

+ Using excellent teamwork and communication skills to take control of daily issues and resolve in a calm and confident way.
+ Working alongside Operational colleagues to deliver best in class performance for our customers.
+ Understand system parameters and adjust accordingly when demand has changed.
+ Work closely with the customer service team (your customer) to ensure they have enough information to offer a high service level to the end customer.
+ To build and maintain relationships with account managers, customers, the commercial team and suppliers to provide quick resolution to industry challenges.
+ Using your own initiative to look for new ways to improve processes whilst keeping stock levels appropriate, achieving KPI such as percentage of stock availability.
+ Schedule, manage and reconcile stocks at key end user customers via VMI stock management process.

A confident individual comfortable in a business environment with an awareness of the needs of the business and an understanding of the importance of balance. To listen to the challenges of any situation and offer resolutions whilst remaining inside the guidelines of bringing stock into the business. 

We are seeking an individual with good communication skills, excellent attention to detail and be able to work alone when required. The successful candidate must thrive in a fast moving environment dealing with many day-to-day challenges using their own initiative. It is essential they are self-motivated, focused, flexible, numerate, possess excellent organisational skills and be able to communicate accurately and effectively.
