The main purpose of the role is to undertake all duties and
responsibilities with the highest regard to health and safety of
people, product and facilities. To provide administrative support for
the Logistics operations to ensure that transport of all goods
movements in/outbound are undertaken in accordance with company
procedures and legislative requirements, as applicable, in order to
meet our customer service levels. To undertake responsibility for all
the day to day movements for the company, show/loan/demo fleet both
main site as well as external storage site. To ensure that there is a
robust communication process in place which is 'fit for purpose'
covering both internal and external departments/individuals.
The suitable personal would ideally have previous logistics office
experience, will be able to demonstrate ability to manage issues to a
successful conclusion using empathy, mutual respect and negotiation
skills. Excellent IT skills and knowledge are essential
(Word/Excel/Google Sheets) the ability to type would be an advantage.
Excellent communication skills (both written and oral). Excellent time
management skills. SAP usage or other ERP system would be desirable.
Focused, well organised with a professional approach, whilst
prioritising to ensure all work is completed to the correct standards
and timescales. Ideally some distribution/transport experience
The Logistics Support Assistant responsibilities will include:

* To ensure that the Logistics operations are providing the
highest customer service, in terms of general dealings with
the customer/supplier and delivery performance in order to
contribute in a positive manner to the overall
customer/supplier experience.
* To assist in the investigation and resolution of claims for
short shipment/damaged in transit etc. claims.
* Ensure that product arriving/leaving the company is
receipted/dispatched with all correct paperwork, via
pre-approved hauliers, in line with delivery instructions and
Company procedures.
* To assist in the stock take processes.
* Visual Inspection of receipted/issued machinery
* Update spreadsheets that allow visibility of where machinery
is kept/issued to
* Upkeep KPI spreadsheet of machinery movements
* Housekeeping-regularly re-arrange machinery to utilise the
available space as efficiently as reasonably possible.
* Good understanding of spreadsheets / formulas
* Liaise with other departments with reference to show loan and
demonstration machines
* Organise the valeting of dirty machinery via our contracted
valet company.
* Organise the repair of damaged machinery via assembly/service
department.
