Our client is a premier chassis supplier that designs and manufactures brake and suspension systems for the global transportation market.

Our client is currently recruiting for an Accountant to support their Finance Manager with the analysis of local cost burdens and maintaining costing ratios, developing and monitoring processes using ratio analysis and analysing the working capital ratios, explaining reasons for change. You will work with the sales and purchasing teams to develop the 2019 budget and create budgets for each department, provide month end closing procedures and will manage payroll, including payroll reconciliations and journals.  

Further to this you will support with the production of various reports including payroll, profit and loss, month end, PPV and inventory stock reports. As an Accountant you will also control customers directed buy changes to ensure 100% pass through and will support with transfer price management and purchase requisition control.

To be successful you will have previous accounting experience ideally within a manufacturing environment. You will have a business related degree or have equivalent experience and must be CIMA / ACCA part qualified. We are welcoming applications from pro-active innovators, with strong problem solving skills and excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to apply technical accounting skills to real business situations. It is also essential you are a competent IT user with good SAP and Microsoft Office skills.

Being a manufacturing company and “just in time” compliant there is a Summer shutdown for 2 weeks (there are also other shorter shut-down periods, meaning around 14 days set holiday per year).
