NUS is an exciting and interesting organisation.  We exist to improve the lives of students and to develop and champion strong students’ unions.  We are the voice of 7 million UK students.

A member of our Events Team is due to go on maternity leave later this year so we’re looking for a looking to recruit an experienced Event Project Manager to join our busy team for approximately 12 months. This role presents the opportunity to work on large and small conferences, training events and internal meetings ranging from 1,200 – 20 delegates.  The role will be based at our office in Macclesfield although travel may be required throughout the UK, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

You will be confident with

1.            Working with internal stakeholders

2.            Creating event project proposals including budgets

3.            Full delegate management

4.            Liaising with suppliers and venues

5.            Managing on site event logistics and delegates

If you work in events in a students’ union we would encourage you to speak to your manager about the possibility of a secondment.

This role will cover a period of parental leave and is likely to be for a period of 12 months
