Whilst the Media Co-ordinator will need to develop their knowledge within the healthcare sector, the emphasis is on working with the team, clients and relevant stakeholders, in order to ensure efficient delivery of campaigns and outcomes.

The Media Co-ordinator will work alongside the Planning and Partnership Managers, providing delivery of key client accounts. They will attend internal meetings and client calls, serving as a main point of contact for organisation and key deliverables. Their role is to facilitate the smooth and timely running of more complex media campaigns. They will participate in calls and meetings, identifying actions and clarifying follow ups.

The Media Co-ordinator needs to be confident and professional. They will need to display outstanding organisational skills and have an extremely high level of attention to detail. They will be responsible for delivering a calm, clear and structured presentation of the business.

They will also need to be confident in managing the delivery of the campaigns. Deadlines and deliverables must be adhered to and the Media Co-ordinator needs to ensure that all moving parts are aligned. Being a strong team player will bring out the best in those around them, whilst it is essential that they use their initiative.

Due to the nature of the business, the Media Co-ordinator needs to be capable of managing multiple projects at any one time. They will need to be able to multi-task and be completely unflappable. They must also be prepared, where necessary, to work outside of set hours in order to meet client demands and timelines.

This is a role for someone who thrives on responsibility and attention to detail and is confident in being in control. They need to love lists and spreadsheets and be avid note-takers.

The Media Co-ordinator needs to be able to think for the client, the creative agency, the publisher AND the planning team and be ahead of the game at all times. If a question has been asked, or something has changed, what are the implications? They will need to have prepared for alternative scenarios with options in place before the client is even aware of a situation.

The Media Co-ordinator will be responsible for the ongoing campaign and project delivery. This will involve ensuring that media inventory is delivered accurately and campaign metrics are reported. They will also be responsible for managing the adhosting for campaigns, so must be able to learn new IT skills.
