The World Parrot Trust (WPT) is a non-profit non-governmental organisation formed in the United Kingdom in 1989 as Registered Charity No. 800944. The objectives of the trust are the survival of parrot species in the wild, and the welfare of individual birds.
We are looking for someone to work in the UK head office, based at Paradise Park, who is self-motivated, capable of working independently and will get involved in all aspects of running an office.
Previous experience with Word, Excel and Quickbooks etc and CRM software would be of benefit. We can train for individual software as required, but previous computer data entry experience is essential.
Administrative duties including processing sales, memberships and donations. Filing, postage, packing and couriers including our quarterly membership magazine
Bookkeeping and processing of invoices and credit cards using Quickbooks. Gift Aid, Just Giving, PayPal and other donation platforms.
Responsible for stock items and display of sales items in Paradise Park shop
Outgoing and incoming communication with donors, staff, members and general public
Attendance and planning of annual parrot show.
Experience in the charity sector an asset.
