Financial Controller
My client, one of the South East's leading Higher Education establishments requires a Financial Controller to drive, lead and develop their existing team.
The successful candidate will be ACA qualified, have experience of working within a University and be comfortable stepping in for the CFO as required.
Duties:
* Leading and developing over 20 members of staff
* Managing audit, financial accounting, student fees and payroll
* Identifying and managing financial risk
* Key point of contact for developing and maintaining relationships with key external advisors
* Responsible for the preparation and audits of the Universities annual financial statements
* Running the treasury function
* Maintaining a high awareness of issues affecting the HE sector
Essential:
* Higher Education experience
* Ability to manage managers and multiple staff
* ACA qualified accountant
This role requires you to promote the finance function across the organisation and ensure that the team becomes an integral part in the continued success and growth of the University. This is truly a one off opportunity for the right person to step up to the next level of their career
