Community Youth Worker

We are seeking passionate community youth workers to join an excellent provider which offers bespoke support packages to young people aged 16-23 years old and their service aims to provide a positive experience for young people as they grow and develop into young adults.

Joining an established national organisation, you will be supporting young people between 16 - 25 years old who are leaving the care system and need additional support to remain independent. You will work with people who come from neglected backgrounds, sexual exploitation and other traumatic situations who may have mental health, anti social behaviour and EBD so they will display challenging behaviour.

As the Community Youth Worker you will play a vital role in rehabilitating the Young People into their own independence within the community. Your duties will include teaching life skills from tenancies, claiming benefits, job-hunting to helping with alternative education. You will empower and support young people to overcome various challenges, you will help integrate young people into their community and deliver a high quality tailored service to the young people in your care.

Your passion and dedication to make a genuine difference to the lives of young people will be invaluable within this role, as will your prior experience of working in similar services, your understanding of working with young people and ability to engage with them.

The successful candidate will hold a Level 3 in Children and Young People Workforce must be a driver holding a full UK driving licence and have experience working with Young People. This is a full time position with a salary of £20,583 inclusive of one sleep, in addition to excellent training and development within the company.
