DESIGN & TECHNOLOGY TECHNICIAN (Resistant Materials)

For a late August start, Cheltenham College seeks to appoint a Design & Technology Technician (Resistant Materials).

This is a varied role in which the post-holder will provide equipment and resources to enable teaching staff and students to undertake practical lessons and project work as well as supporting students in using machinery safely.  The post-holder will be required to work in accordance with strict health and safety guidance, ensuring that a healthy, safe and productive learning and teaching environment is maintained.

Previous experience and technical or practical experience in an appropriate discipline would be desirable, but is not essential as full training will be given.

The working hours are 42 per week as per the job description, Mon-Fri during College term-time (33 weeks), plus an additional 3 weeks to be worked during the College holidays. Working on staff in-service training days is also required.

Salary from £19,800 - £21,306 per annum, depending on experience. (The salary will be pro-rated to reflect the term-time nature of the role).
