Upholsterer Vacancy – Home Chairs

We are looking for Upholsterers to join the busy and successful team- this is a position which will play a key role as part of the Manufacturing Team.

Main Purpose of role:

Working as part of a Manufacturing Team, that delivers comfort solutions through a range of quality furniture products to the Healthcare and Hospitality industries. The Upholsterer, reporting to the Team Leader, will be responsible for upholstering a range of products, ensuring production targets and deadlines are met and outputs meet the quality standards and product specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

·To provide good quality work to set company standards.

·Preparing and upholstering furniture products to a high quality to agreed company targets

·Competently using air pressured staple guns and other hand tools

·Complying with Health and Safety procedures as set out in the company’s Health and Safety policy.

·Ensuring good housekeeping is maintained at all times

·Support overtime within the business when needed

.Ability to work unsupervised with all types of fabrics is essential.

.There is no track system each upholsterer is expected to upholster a chair from start to finish

.This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role within a demanding and growing environment.

Salary:

Our client operates a piecework system that allows average earnings of £4-500 per week  with minimum earnings set at £8.50 per hour.

Working hours are 07.40 to 16.55 Mon to Thurs and 07.40 to 12.40. on Friday

This is a full time and permanent position.

Our client offers a degree of flexibility with working hours and allows early start- early finish with the factory being open from 6am to 6pm
