Tig Welder
My client based in Northumberland are looking for a sem-skilled TIG welder to join their business on a temp-perm basis. The main responsibilities for this role will be to work within the metalwork facility manufacturing the company's products, ensuring the highest of quality standards are met.
However it is expected that the successful candidate will support the Production Department in all aspects of its operation as required. (with training, movement between areas is actively encouraged in line with the needs of the business).
Desirable Requirements
• Use of sheet metal working equipment including, punch press, press brake, fastener insertion machine and power coating.
• Able to weld thin sheet metal (1.2mm thick) with both MIG & TIG would be an advantage.
• Replenishment of raw material and line side kanban
• Up to date First Aid Certificate desirable
• Valid Fork Lift truck licence desirable
Personal characteristics required include:
• A reliable and professional approach to work with excellent time keeping
• The ability to work under own initiative
• Skilled with hands and a good eye for detail
Shift Patterns:
• Rotating:
• 2 weeks days (Monday to Friday - 38hrs) and
• 2 weeks nights (Monday to Thursday, 4 x 12hr shift - 25% premium)
