Web Developer

About them:
This company is a growing full service agency with in-house Development, Hosting, Support, Marketing, Design and Print. The successful candidate will be located in their new Lichfield office, with the possibility of some remote work.

Their typical working hours are 9am - 5, Monday - Friday.

The successful candidate will be developing user-friendly, secure and performant web applications for a variety of clients. They will also be developing internal systems, with a focus on automation. Leading, nurturing and growing within a team of ~14 developers

The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will be a charismatic team player, who likes to keep up to date with new technologies, with a pragmatic approach to development. You will occasionally be expected to be involved in client meetings; to provide guidance and gather requirements, so confidence and your ability to portray your thoughts clearly and concisely will be important.

Required:
- Excellent PHP/MySQL knowledge
- Excellent debugging and optimisation skills
- Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience writing tidy, reusable or modular code
- Experience with version control software (experience with Git is preferred)
- API design and usage experience
- MVC experience (preferably Laravel/Codeigniter)
- Awareness of application security and privacy implications

Preferred:
- Experience with CodeIgniter or Laravel frameworks
- Linux usage/administration and relevant development technologies like Vagrant or Docker
- Experience with front end frameworks such as Vue / React / Angular
- Experience working with and/or implementing continuous integration tools
- Leadership experience beneficial
- Experience implementing TDD and Continuous Integration.
