MBDA Level of role: Level 5
Reports to: Group Head of RF Procurement
The Opportunity
To lead a multi-functional RF Components category team for MBDA Sub-Systems, including Seekers, Datalinks and other rf equipment and develop key relations with the stakeholders (projects, Engineering, Production, Quality, legal???) and with the suppliers
The Role
- Develop and implement the category strategy,
- Determine the purchasing levers and the nature of the relationship between MBDA and the suppliers.
- Define the suitable contract standards consequently (with the support of RF UK Proximity Manager)
- Analyse and challenge upstream the technology requirements of the stakeholders to optimize, standardize and globalize each segment of the category
- Lead the prospection, evaluation and approval of the new suppliers. Develop the Suppliers portfolio of the category and execute Frame Agreements/ Quantity Contracts as required.
- Analyse Industrial Policy and proactively address implementation for M/B choices
- Analyse the Suppliers market and identify the risks and opportunities for each segment
- Coordinate and support the buyers to run the competitions, negotiations and supplier selection in conformance with the
- Strategy and to deliver optimum value (total cost of acquisition) for the Business
- Ensure the implementation of the call-off contracts and the E-catalogues for the internal customers
- Validate the capability of the Supply Chain to fulfil forecast demand
- Monitor the oToCoQ performance of the suppliers and manage the action plan to improve
- Monitor the supplier risks and manage the mitigation plan
- Manage the supplier relationship including the suppliers reviews (business, performance, risks)
- Establish and nurture SME/Academia to secure technical advantage for MBDA
- Support procurement cohesion across MBDA Group
Key Challenges
- Standardize each segment of category supplies.
- Strong coordination with all the principal company stakeholders
- Strong coordination with RF ISP Group Manager
- Ensure stakeholders needs satisfaction (oToCoQ) and manage risks
