Water Environment Engineer

FINTEC recruit is seeking a Water Environment Engineer. Working for an established environmental consultancy business. This is a permanent position based in Glasgow and the company provide services across the UK. Salary is up to circa £28,000 negotiable by experience.

Consideration will be given to pro-active and ambitious candidates looking to develop into this role, and who may be recent graduates.

Responsibilities for the Water Environment Engineer role:

• Undertake Construction Site investigations reports, SWMP, pollution prevention plans (PPP) issued as part of Controlled Activities Regulations (CAR) license applications.

  To have proven experience in surface water management plans (SWMP), engineering design, construction site investigation and reporting experience.
  
  Good interpersonal and communication skills will be required in working with clients, stakeholders and all customers.
  
  Skills and Qualifications :
  Preferably two or more years' proven UK consultancy experience, having been closely involved in Project Delivery. UK experience is a requisite.

  Experience in specifying and procuring geotechnical tests and interpreting results (including stability analysis).

  Site experience, including construction site inspection and reporting.

  Preparation of engineering drawings.

  Skills and some experience in project management.

  Technical design capability in water environment/river restoration or civil/geotechnical engineering;

  Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to produce written reports to a high standard.

  Degree in Environmental/Civil Engineering.

  UK driving licence.

  Working towards chartered status.

  Experience of software packages including AutoCAD and terrain modelling (LSS) software would be beneficial.
