The Role

Reporting directly to the CFO this is a senior management position, but you'll need to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in from the start.

This role provides the opportunity to shape the finance policies, systems and procedures of a high-growth fintech startup. Full autonomy with no micromanaging and no hand-holding.

What you'll be doing

It will be your sole responsibility to deliver:

• Board financial information pack and monthly management accounts including: cash reconciliations, variance analysis and monitoring performance verses budget

• Leading external audits and preparation of Group Statutory Accounts, compliant with FRS 102

• Leading key projects such as migration to IFRS

• Continued development of the finance team and systems to enable a scalable Finance function.

• Strong technical knowledge, with an emphasis on planning and control.

In addition, the successful candidate will:

• Ensure continued compliance with accounting policies and suggest / implement improvements as and when required,

• Work closely with Heads of Departments and Directors to assist with the production of annual budget and business performance

• Manage Monthly payroll / Pension, Accounts Payable & Receivables and VAT returns

What we are looking for

• Experience of working within a similar role or function (preferable within the fintech / finance industry)

• Experienced in successfully managing year end audit processes and statutory submissions,

• Track record of continually recognising and implementing improvements to finance / accounting policies and procedures whilst reducing costs

• ACA or ACCA Qualified accountant working in accounting positions for a minimum of 7+ years

• Preferably trained whilst working for one of the "big four"
