The Role:
We are looking for experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistants that have previously worked in schools. This is a great opportunity to join a vibrant school in Tameside. You will be bright, articulate, organised, with great communication skills. You must be flexible and committed to working with schools and be available throughout term time.

The ideal candidate
To be considered a real asset to the school, you must demonstrate:
* Experience within Special Educational Needs (SEND)
* SLD / PMLD experience
* 1:1 support and small group support work
* Strong interpersonal skills
* A friendly and professional manor
The school
The aim of the school is to blend the best of traditional education with the skills and resources of the modern system to ensure that pupils' talents are exercised to the full. To this end, class sizes are kept small, with 20 or fewer pupils perform at preparatory level and 16 or fewer in each secondary class.
You will have proven organisational and communication skills with a strong understanding of pupils with special educational needs. Flexibility and clear thinking will be necessary in order to be able to work closely with staff and parents to help ensure that each child is given the opportunity to fulfil their potential.
The Vision for Education Special Needs department is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We work alongside a variety of Special Educational Needs Schools and Pupil Referral Units. We provide day to day and long-term recruitment solutions for Teachers and Teaching Assistants.

We can offer our staff the opportunity to gain a further understanding of working in the SEN sector as we provide regular courses that prepare you for working with a variety of additional needs that will be certified upon completion. These include; British sign language L1 and Deaf Awareness, Autism Awareness, Team Teach, working with Attachment disorder and many more
