Security Architects

Position Description
Be part of something dynamic, come and join our Cyber Security business. We've never been busier and we are looking for talented Security Architects with a blend of technical ability and passion for Cyber Security, to come and join us deliver market-leading cyber security solutions. We share your passion for security and it is part of everything we do at CGI. As a Security Architect at CGI you'll join a team over nearly 200 Cyber Security professionals in the UK, working on major programmes where security is critical including Defence Information Infrastructure, Police National Database, Galileo, and Smart Metering. We're not tied to having to push particular security products, so this means that you'll have the freedom to work closely with clients to develop appropriate design solutions to align with their security needs. In addition to being able to collaborate with our UK based consultants you'll also have access to over 1200 Cyber Security professionals within CGI worldwide. This will enable you to provide innovative security solutions fully focused and tailored to our client's needs. Our Cyber team cover all aspects of security and provide our clients with a one shop stop for all their security needs. This means you'll be involved in true end to end security solutions and delivery, from concept through to operation. We also work across all sectors both public and private from Government to Oil and Gas, from Utilities to banking and finance.

We encourage an entrepreneurial ethos at CGI and fully support professional development of our members. We actively encourage contributions to, and interaction with, appropriate Cyber industry bodies and organisations. If you want to take your Cyber Security career to the next level as part of a dynamic company that gives you a direct stake in its success please contact us today.

The nature of some of our work will mean that you will need to be eligible for, or already hold an appropriate level of UK Security Clearance. Whilst you will be based from one of our UK offices the nature of the role may necessitate expensed travel to client sites and other CGI offices as needed and this could include extended periods away as required. We value our members' work/life balance and offer flexible working and endeavour to minimise, wherever possible, travel and time away.

Your future duties and responsibilities
You will consult on and design innovative solutions tailored to a deep understanding of our client's needs. You will advise our clients on the architecture of their secure business systems. You'll be the design authority on programmes of works collaborating across enterprise architectures to produce end-to-end security designs. Your knowledge and skills will be used to assist on bids, proposal for works, as well as on implementations and integrations. As a Security Architect at CGI you will also be expected to represent CGI at senior stakeholder level and, as a security expert, help guide and influence our clients through their security issues.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
You will be able to demonstrable significant experience of consulting on, and the delivery of, secure system design and implementation, ideally as a technical security lead. Your all round technical security knowledge should be sound, and you should be able to demonstrate that you understand why security must be part of everything our clients do. You should also be able to demonstrate a complete understanding of the relationship of risk and security in the design of your IT security solutions.

You should be an effective communicator both written and orally and be adept at persuasively presenting and justifying secure architecture design solutions. You will be used to dealing with multiple client stakeholders both technical and non-technical and able to adapt your approach as required for your audience. Your technical knowledge and understanding should be a given and backed up with appropriate professional qualifications. Knowledge of GDPR is highly desirable, but is not essential.
