An opportunity has arisen at Skanska for an experienced corporate communications professional to provide both internal and external communications for Skanska UK, including media, social media.

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Communications, the principal responsibilities include:
  • Working with the Head of Corporate Communications, developing internal and external messaging and communications programmes for strategically business-critical subjects and implementing these at a corporate level.
  • Identifying subject-matter experts around the company and organising relevant media and presentation training, developing their content and messaging and identifying and organising proactive activities (including media and speaker opportunities)
  • Being part of press office rota, together with Head of Corporate Communications
  • Daily monitoring and measurement and reporting of the company's media and social media activity
  • Managing day-to-day relationship with Skanska's media monitoring and press release distribution provider, as well as its social media monitoring and measurement provider
  • Responsibility for developing Skanska's external social media channels and managing, co-ordinating and monitoring their day-to-day use across all communications
  • Playing a major role in the delivery of Skanska's internal UK Management Conference and other events, as required
  • Project managing the delivery of communications material, working with the in-house creative services team and/or external agencies
  • Ensuring Skanska's brand guidelines are followed in all communications
