Security Risk Technical Analyst

You will join the Security Assessment and Assurance (SAA) department which has overall responsibility for security risk and assurance here at G-Research. You will be helping to ensure that information security risk is identified and evaluated, validating that proposed mitigation plans will reduce risk, and providing regular reports to executive management.

More specifically, as a Security Risk Technical Analyst you will be responsible for identifying key potential risks early in the design process through early engagement with security design teams, assessing the design effectiveness of proposed security controls, as well as making, justifying and clearly communicating risk treatment recommendations and decisions.

Who are we looking for?

You will have a technical aptitude with not only a good understanding of security risk management but also proficient knowledge of security best practices, networking, and application security concepts.

You will have at least 5 years of experience in a technology design, implementation or operations role and knowledge of IT control and assurance frameworks (e.g. ISO, NIST, COBIT, PCI). Experience with Governance, Risk and Compliance tools as well as completion of SABSA would be beneficial.
