Business Development Manager – Hertfordshire/London

We are advertising for a leading accountancy firm located in the London & Hertfordshire area who are currently looking to supplement their team with an experienced and enthusiastic Business Development Manager. They make it their business to understand and add value to their clients personal and business affairs whilst building a lasting relationship based on trust and mutual respect. They are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager, with strong interpersonal and communication skills, a focus on organisation, and enhanced multitasking abilities. The successful candidate will work from their two main locations within the London and Hertfordshire areas.
Key Performance Areas Responsibilities:

Naturally, you will take the lead in developing new business, researching prospective accounts in targeted markets, pursuing leads and following through to a successful agreement. Additionally, you will:

  • Develop an ongoing, effective relationship with high profile clients and ensure retention of clients
  • Understand the target markets, including industry, company, project, company contacts and which market strategies can be used to attract clients
  • Maintain relationships with current clients and identify new prospects within the area you have been assigned. Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships
  • Monitor and ensure compliance requirements of selected high-profile clients are met
  • Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends
  • Organise and facilitate in house and clients’ events
  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators
  • Planning and preparing presentations, tenders and pitches
  • Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels

About you:

You’ll be at an experienced Business Development Manager, with a minimum of five years proven track record within a similar role. Ideally you will have good understanding of accounting and excellent organisational skills, with emphasis on priorities and goal setting. They would also like you to have/be:

  • A Bachelor degree or equivalent (preferred)
  • High level leadership and management skills
  • Strong communication skills between clients, staff and management
  • Good interpersonal skills with clients, staff and management
  • Strong time management skills
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Provide good attention to detail
