An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the QA Team as a QA Operative at our Barway site. Reporting to the Procurement & Supplier Manager, the main purpose and responsibilities are:

    Assess product quality on intake, during packing and prior to dispatch when necessary and provide feedback to Production management across all operations. Ensure that all raw material products meet quality standards as laid down in specifications Complete shelf-life assessment and analyse data whenever required. Collate information concerning customer KPI data. Provide objective advice on quality and QA issues, as and when required Work with the Management team to ensure that GMP standards are followed at all times Assist colleagues who require product testing (benchmarking, shelf life, microbiological, etc) by collecting samples and liaising with the appropriate testing bodies Conduct traceability exercises whenever required in a timely manner.

To be successful you will need:

    Some experience of the fresh produce/food sector HACCP training Food Hygiene L2 Knowledge of retail production protocols and produce specifications Attention to detail Proficient in the use of IT Good communication skills Good organisational skills
