A position has become available to be part of a specialist electronic products company who design and manufacture their own equipment for the SCADA, Security and Mobilising markets. Globally recognised, they are seeking the right candidate to lead a team of technicians and engineers with an attitude for problem solving.
The key responsibilities of this role are as follows:
* To test and verify a range of software and hardware products.
* Supporting customer enquiries and open incident reports - and reducing total amount.
* To provide both managerial and technical guidance to the team of technicians.
* Coordination of engineer visits both UK sites and overseas in relation to maintenance work.
The right candidate will be not only technically competent but also have a mind for leadership and ideas on how to progress or make procedures more efficient. This is a company that are continuously developing and maintaining large contracts in many continents.
Required key skills:
* A minimum of 5 years functional electronic hardware/software testing.
* Previous experience of leading a team of technicians/engineers (big or small).
* Well-developed communication skills.
Non-essential skills:
* A degree in an electronics or IT discipline - good, relevant experience will be considered if the candidate does not have a formal qualification.
* A good level of experience with Linux, VMWare, SQL server and Windows.
