Supervisor
Our client a world leading Steel fabricating company based on the outskirts of Leeds are looking to recruit a Supervisor for their extremely busy site. To be responsible for the fabricating and semi-skilled staff in their department; to ensure the floor runs smoothly and that all the companies' health and safety procedures are being upheld reporting directly to the Production Manager.
Role responsibilities for Supervisor -
• Responsible for all the fabrication team on site
• Provide equipment and training to all new staff
• Overseeing all the policies and procedure are being upheld on the shop floor
• Communicate with the Production Manager and managerial teams to ensure any problems are reported and resolved
• Reporting all machine faults and breakdowns are reported and fixed in a timely manner to avoid delays in production
• Ensure that all health and safety procedures are up to date and that all fabrication staff have been fully trained in all procedures
• Attend daily production meetings
• Participate in the continuous improvement team
• Improve productivity and reduce fabrication errors
Candidate requirements for Supervisor -
• Previous Supervisor / Foreman experience
• IOSH safety management
• Knowledge of PPM systems and report generating
• Fabrication competency and skills and qualification
• Excellent knowledge of health and safety procedures
• Excellent communication skills
• Team motivational skills
