Key Account Manager/Field Sales role
The Company
My client is a leading UK spirits distribution company. Started back in 2012, they are experiencing huge demand for their products and as such growth targets are constantly being overachieved. They sell a range of both Distributor and Company-owned globally recognised brands such as Brockmans Gin, Arran Malt Whisky and Arette Tequila!
The Culture
A young, vibrant and dynamic business that does things a bit differently. This client considers themselves to be more of a boutique sales, marketing and distribution business focussing on Premium Spirits which prides itself on being fast, lean and customer responsive.
It's a key point of difference is developing brands in the premium on Trade, but it also has a strong Sales footprint across Wholesale, mainstream On Trade, Off Trade and On-Line Channels.
Expanding team that just continues to grow due to the current employee's passion for the product. It's a relaxed culture, it's all about the quality not quantity!
The Role of the Key Account Manager:
Although you will be based remotely from Bristol, you will be field based covering the South West of England so experience in field sales is essential as is a full driving licence. It is also necessary that you have experience in selling spirits, you could have run a bar and decided to get into sales, we just need your knowledge, your experience and of course your passion!
Responsibilities include:
As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of On Trade and Specialist Retail accounts (individual outlets and groups) within a defined territory. You may also be required to manage Wholesalers (Route to Market) within your territory.
To be successful you will need to be enthusiastic, full of bright ideas and entrepreneurial in your approach. You will need to use your outstanding organisational skills to maintain and develop a successful territory.
This is a diverse sales and business development role, successful candidates will need to thrive on the challenge of variety and pace.
Skills & Qualities required to be considered for the Key Account Field Sales position
-Degree Educated or exceptional experience in Sales or Business Development
-Minimum 2- 3 years On Trade Premium Spirits Sales experience within a Brand Owner / Agency Brands business managing a portfolio of On Trade and Specialist Retail customers.
-Experience managing larger bar and pub groups
-Experience managing Wholesale / Route to Market would also be an advantage.
-Full UK driving licence
-IT literate - Microsoft / Apple / CRM systems ideally Salesforce
-Extremely outgoing and resilient along with a knowledge, passion and enthusiasm for the Spirits industry
The reward
This client is prepared to pay up to GBP34,000 Per Annum plus performance related bonus of a further 10% based on performance.
