An opportunity has arisen for a person to join a small, friendly and professional care team. Your role will be to support a man in his twenties with physical disabilities to access the community and pursue his interests. You will be required to provide personal and medical care. The skills you offer, and those you learn will make a marked difference to this person's life.

We are seeking a person who understands the issues around disability and equality.A person who has a 'can do' attitude and can problem solve the issues that arise for wheelchair users. You must have a friendly, organised approach to work and have the ability to be an effective team member within a family home.

It is essential that you have a full manual driving licence and can drive the clients adapted van.You will have the opportunity to have professional physiotherapy and respiratory training and be supported in all aspects of the clients care.

The Personal Health Budget has allowed the client to have choice and control over his care and he will be actively involved in the recruitment process. 

This will be a good opportunity to apply your professional care skills to provide a truly personalised service.

30 - 35 hours a week £8.50 rising to £9.50 after completion of probationary period.
