Marketing Executive
Salary / benefits: GBP20,000 - GBP25,000 dependent upon experience. Plus annual profit and performance related bonus
Working hours: Full time - 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday
Contract term: Permanent (subject to successful completion of a 6 month evaluation period)

Working from our impressive offices in Halifax town centre, we are looking for a positive person to join our team of over 110 staff. The successful applicant will report to the Direct & Digital Marketing Manager and will co-ordinate a number of activities within the marketing team and other internal departments.

Responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating and prioritising creative requests, managing deadlines and interpreting creative briefs where needed.
- New and existing affiliate partner research to support new business generation, identifying new opportunities or threats, and monitoring brand presence.
- Delivering regular reports for internal marketing activity and for business partners/affiliates.
- Uploading web articles to our blogs, sourcing and re-sizing associated pictures.
- Basic design tasks, including amending existing artwork and preparing files for print.
- Competitor research to identify new opportunities and threats.
- Implementing a social media schedule, publishing regular links to our blogs and videos.
- Supporting lead generation via various distribution channels.
- Providing marketing support for industry shows, including co-ordination of internal and external resource. Overnight attendance at shows will not be compulsory.
- Ad-hoc support for marketing activities.
- Ability to demonstrate strong organisational and time management skills in a professional capacity.
- Digitally 'savvy' (for example using websites on a regular basis, including search engines and having some understanding of various techniques websites use to promote and generate business)
- Ability to interpret creative requests and prioritise tasks
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint and a willingness to develop new skills using our design software, content management system, social media platforms and other internal systems
- Strong attention to detail and good use of grammar
- Good communication and negotiation skills to maintain professional working relationships with colleagues and suppliers
- Strong grades for maths and English at GCSE level or equivalent
It would also be favourable to have experience or skills in the following areas:
- One to two years' experience within a similar role.
- Qualification within marketing or business related field
- Some experience of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
- Some experience with Microsoft Access
- Exposure to industry shows or other exhibitions
- GBP20,000 - GBP25,000 salary (dependent on experience)
