Experienced Book-Keeper / Accounts Assistant
Based in Liskeard, Cornwall

A well-established, successful family company requires an experienced book keeper.

The role in the first instance will be the maintenance of all Purchase Ledger functions to include purchase invoice entry, reconciliation and monthly payment procedures. This will include the payment of foreign suppliers.

The successful candidate will also be required to maintain Nominal Ledger functions to include Bank payments and reconciliation, nominal account maintenance and reconciliation up to Trial Balance to enable the preparation of Monthly Management Accounts.

  • You will also be required to maintain VAT records and filing of the necessary returns.
  • Computer literacy and experience of Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
  • Experience in the use of Axis Diplomat would be an advantage, although in house training and possible external courses will be provided.

You must be a team player and be able to work independently and closely with the directors to provide up to date and accurate reports as and when required

The role will initially require 25 to 30 hours per week, preferably 5 days per week.
