As our Test Analyst your role will be to work as part of IT in providing a comprehensive end-to-end testing function from a Business perspective. Working in close conjunction with Business Community representatives, Project Managers, Business Analysts and Development Team Managers, the jobholder is responsible for designing, producing and using, test documentation.

You will write, maintain and execute test scripts within the designated time frames to prove the delivered system meets the business requirements, both functionally and for usability. Support the business operational resources in testing both UAT and Model Office.

Responsibilities as our Test Analyst include:

- Analyse Business and technical documents to identify test conditions, and produce test scripts.

- Ensure that the coverage and quality of test scripts is maintained, and produced within required timescales.

- Input to test plans for UAT, Model Office and Production Acceptance.

- Raise, review, update and retest defects.

- Work with the Test Co-ordinator to produce Test Documentation, including progress reports.

- Liaise with IT, business analysts and relevant business areas maintain good communication at all levels.

- Participate in the continuous improvement of testing processes.

- Participate in test automation and performance testing.

- Adhere to risk based principles, ensuring cost effective testing whilst balancing business risk

- Ensure project risks, defects and changes (relating to Testing) are assessed, recorded and escalated

- Coaching and mentoring of more inexperienced analysts as required

- Strong relationships built with the Business, IT and 3rd Parties.

To become our Test Analyst, you will have the below skills and experience:

Essential

- Significant experience of test analysis within the User Acceptance Testing function on projects and small portfolios of change items.

- Experience of testing web based applications

- Excellent understanding of Testing approaches and methodologies.

- Strong numerical and analytical skills.

- Use of at least one Test Tool

- Educated to at least “A” levels or equivalent work experience.

- ISEB / ISTQB Foundation certificate in Software Testing.

- Ability to multi-task and prioritise activities

- Ability to liaise with managers providing updates on testing progress

- Flexibility, ability to manage uncertainty

- Results driven and self-motivated

- Able to work effectively as part of a team

- Attention to Detail

- Tenacity

Desirable

- Extensive knowledge and experience in Information Technology Solutions with a high degree of business appreciation.

- Experience of working within the Wealth Investment sector.

- Knowledge of the GBST system ‘Composer’ would be advantageous

- Experience of testing within both AGILE and V-Model development environments.

- Use of the following Test Tools: qTest, Quality Center and Jira
