Faculty / Directorate

The Estates & Commercial Services Directorate is large and diverse, employing circa 300 people, ranging from plumbers, electricians, carpenters, cleaners, porters, leisure centre assistants to property management professionals, architects, project officers, CAD, space management, sustainability and energy and administrative personnel.

Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Building Services Engineer to join the Estates & Commercial Services Maintenance team. Reporting to the Deputy Head of Maintenance, this role will manage the workload of the 'in-house' Mechanical, Electrical and Carpentry Teams dealing with reactive works received via the helpdesk and planned maintenance tasks in line with the departments PPM schedules.

You must have a qualification in Building Services Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Maintenance related discipline with knowledge of Health & Safety legislative compliance requirements related to this role and have experience in the use of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and Outlook.

Ideal Candidate

The role would suit someone who is self-motivated, has a confident and friendly approach with the ability to work both independantly and as part of a team attending work outside of normal working hours when necessary.
