Their business area Electrical Technology is a leading global manufacturer in the field of high voltage insulation materials, components and systems. In their Medical Technology division, they develop and produce sophisticated injection-molded plastics applications.

They are based in Rapperswil-Jona, Switzerland, operates worldwide at more than 30 sites and employs a staff of approx. 3,200.

They are now looking to recruit a Shift Mechanical Fitter to join them.  Working as part of a two man shift alongside an electrician, you will complete a weekly maintenance plan unless reactive maintenance is required and must follow up all shift reports, and other inspection reports detailing corrective actions that were made. 

Identifying failure modes of equipment and making recommendations to prevent further failures, you will be expected to repair and maintain rotating equipment such as pumps, rolls, gearboxes, agitators, pulpers, fans, refiners etc. along with pneumatic systems and steam plant.
  
With a recognised mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship and proven industrial experience in a similar role, candidates must have knowledge of preventative maintenance techniques and be able to fault find and think on their feet.  Paper mill experience is preferred although not essential and any experience of driving vehicles such as forklift truck, cherry picker, scissor lift would be beneficial although training is available.

12 hour shifts, 4 shift pattern.
