Supply Chain Director

Eden Scott's client is a well-established manufacturing organisation based in Edinburgh. As the company grows, a new vacancy has been created for a Supply Chain Director.

The purpose of the Supply Chain Director will be to develop and implement a sustainable supply chain strategy.

Key responsibilities:

Stock planning, purchasing and ordering, demand planning
Freight forwarding & shipping rate negotiation and freight forwarding & shipping partner relationship management.
Management of all inbound flows and process improvement activities
Smart routing of products for cost efficiency for Global accounts.
On-going supplier performance, factory audit and compliance, supplier environmental and welfare standards.
Demand forecasting and sharing of demand forecast with key suppliers.
Planning and managing route to market.
Supplier collaboration, driving out supply chain costs with suppliers.
Managing stock at origin, regular factory audits.
First point of contact with clients, processing orders, sending samples, upselling

The ideal candidate:

Degree qualified or equivalent in a relevant discipline
Experience working at senior levels
Hands-on and experienced in all elements of supply chain
Strong can-do ethos when it comes to customer service
Proven track record in leading, initiating, and implementing Supply Chain change programs
Strong commercial background
Strong project management and negotiation skills
