++ A high performing boutique global value fund is looking for a key hire to support its growth. Candidate will assist with both operations and business development support++ 

Who we are:


We are a fund manager for a global value oriented investment fund, which invests for sophisticated, high-net worth and ultra high net worth investors. The company mainly outsources its operations, so the team currently consists of 3 people and is unlikely to be more than 10 people, 5 years from now. It is a flexible, highly specialized, small team environment where everyone has personal responsibility.

Role and responsibilities:

Business Development
+You will work closely with the Fund Manager and our team to identify international Ultra High-Net-Worth-Individuals and charitable foundations who are potential fund investors and manage initial communications with them. 
+You will take responsibility for communications with existing investors and utilise the CRM system to manage the existing network.


Operations 
+ Assist with the operational process surrounding a boutique global, value fund
+ Liaise with fund administrator and prime brokers on trades matters
+ Provide support and relevant reporting to external service providers and internal team of 5 people
+ Assist compliance manager with monthly and quarterly reporting
+ Assist in managing the investment controls and processes surrounding the Fund’s investments including maintaining the operational records and control files of the Fund’s investments
+ Assist in managing and maintaining the company’s bank accounts in different jurisdictions
+ Assist in managing the CRM records for the Fund’s current and potential investors
+ Assist in managing all legal documents including funds as well as corporate 
+ Work on ad hoc projects as they arise
+ Work with the Compliance/Money laundering officer to undertake the necessary KYC/AML duties on both the Funds’ investments and investors (FACTA / CRS & potentially BEPS knowledge handy)
+ Assist in managing the tax structuring of the company and investments.
+ Assist internal and external auditors with annual audit 
+ Assist in managing all investor enquiries and assist with due diligence requests 
+ Work proactively on continuous improvement of processes

Must-have:

+ Minimum 5 years relevant experience in operations or middle/back office
+ Degree holder preferably a major in Business Administration/Accounting/Finance (other disciplines also welcome)
+ Excellent command of both written and spoken English
+ Strong desire and switched-on personality to work in an operations and control function within a small team environment
+ Ability to work in a demanding environment
+ Logical and diligent thought process with a close attention to detail and used to meeting deadlines
+Experience of marketing and/or business development

Qualifications and education requirements:

+ Professional accounting qualification is an advantage
+ Knowledgeable in operations, risk management, compliance and fund structure or eager to learn
+ Hands on experience working with various service providers
+ Knowledgeable in various financial instruments, especially equity is an advantage
+ Working knowledge of Quickbooks is an advantage
+ Strong time management and communication skills
+ Strong general IT skills
+ Experience in compliance an advantage
+ Candidates from fund administrators are welcome
+ Good people skills and excellent team orientation
+ While supervised and working in a team must be able to work on own initiative and set and adhere to deadlines
+ Friendly, efficient, professional approach on the phone and in writing.
