Our client, a first tier financial services organisation, is looking for a PMO Analyst to join their team in Edinburgh on a permanent basis.

The role is based within the operations team and the core responsibilities would be:

Financial Management

o Maintain Finance Trackers and derive key MI and Dashboard metrics for reporting into all weekly and monthly forums
o Raise and manage the Change SABIS Purchase Orders and Invoices
o Reporting on invoicing vs. estimates
o Manage Project Change Requests and Vision Statements as part of the Portfolio planning exercise
o Respond to queries in relation to financial management processes
o Responsible for Impact Assessment (Quotation) Management end to end Ad hoc management information and reporting
o Use the established methodologies and disciplines to ensure projects are under control and on track to deliver, - escalating as appropriate
o Support Finance Manager in Reporting Pack Preparation eg changes delivering into TSB, including forward look ahead dashboards; monthly change reporting and month end financials
o Track and monitor WO predicted spend vs Actual amount invoiced - reporting on variances both in resource time and cost
o Create useable MI packs around both financials and PM metrics
o Review and improve current SR tracking processes
o Ensure project forecast spend is in line with actuals (programme projects mainly)
o Co-ordinate Finance and the Project Managers on the monthly actuals and forecasting process

The right candidate would need to have the following experience:

o Experience of working within a project-orientated function; experience of supporting Programme and Project Managers preferred but not necessary
o Finance qualification preferred - either degree or working towards an accounting qualification or at least three years' experience working in a Finance role
o Agile knowledge - preferably Scrum
o Attention to detail
o MS Office Suite - Excel, Word, PowerPoint
o Excellent organisational ability and communication skills
o Ability to adapt quickly, calmly and positively to changing priorities
o Disciplined work approach including the ability to work to deadlines, whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy is essential
o Financial Services industry experience preferred but not necessary
