QC Electrical Inspector

Position: QC Electrical Inspector

Location: Glasgow, Scotland

(Contract 2 months)

A respected and highly regarded Contractor is seeking to assign a Quality Engineer to a longstanding marine project located in Scotland.

As the QC Electrical inspector, your key duties and responsibilities will include:

• Working as part of the Quality Assurance Team, is responsible for checking compliance of the activities on site, assisting QA on site.
• Identifying potential defects and providing advice in corrective and preventive actions.
• Assisting Quality Manager in the monitoring and recording of implementation of UK Quality Management System, providing help in the setting up of project plans and protocols.
• To develop an appropriate knowledge of the works information.

Due to the technically challenging nature of this role, it is anticipated:

• Inspecting ship electrical systems
• Knowledge of earth bonding
• Equipment mountings, fixings, cable terminations.
• Gland packing
• Busbar joint connections
• Inspect against system drawings
