The successful applicant will be joining Cardiff University, one of the UK’s leading research led universities. The Research Associate post will form part of Cardiff Business School, Welsh Economy Research Unit activities under the ‘Broadband Research and Intelligence Function’ of the Superfast Broadband Business Exploitation Programme (SFBBE) led by the Welsh Government. This programme is supported by funding from the Welsh Government, the European Regional Development Fund (part-funded by the European Commission) and Cardiff University. You will work in a small project team seeking to examine the economic outcomes associated with exploitation of superfast broadband services, and work to inform an active programme of business support. The successful candidates will provide research support to the project, taking an active role in project delivery and contributing to the delivery of research and technical outputs for the project.

This post is full-time and fixed-term until 31st December 2020, subject to a probationary period. The post is available from 1st July 2018.
Salary: £32,548 - £38,833 per annum (Grade 6).
