1.5 FTE term-time only working 40 weeks per annum 

Joining us as Catering Assistant, you will assist in the operation of the Catering Facilities at the College including service to customers and the cleaning of crockery, cutlery, equipment and tables. Assisting in the ordering of supplies and ingredients, you will maintain an effective operation of the food/bar service and ensure all areas are clean and tidy at all times.

We’re looking for an individual who has experience of working in a similar environment and who can work well as part of a team. With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will be able to work in a pressured environment and be able to maintain a cheery disposition in the best traditions of customer care. Experience of delivering exceptional customer service is a must, as is knowledge and understanding of food safety legislation and other relevant legislation.

Relevant vocational qualifications in Hospitality & Catering equivalent to NVQ Level 2 or above are required, or a willingness to participate in staff development to achieve these qualifications.

This position is based at Carshalton College and Merton College.
