As part of our ongoing growth, we are recruiting a Powerplant Engineer to join our expanding Engineering Team. Reporting to the Powerplant Manager, the Powerplant Engineer will be responsible for carrying out Engineering requirements relating to the aircraft Engines, Auxiliary Power Units (APUs) and Nacelle of the Jet2.com fleet. You will review airworthiness data to ensure compliance with regulatory standards whilst working closely with Technical Services, Maintenance Control and Reliability. This role can be based at either our office at Manchester Airport or Leeds Bradford Airport.

You will provide advice and guidance related to troubleshooting and exploring defects, as well as analysing engine data to provide reports and any associated documentation required by the Management Team. The Powerplant Engineer will ensure primary spare Powerplants are available at all times whilst working closely with overhaul agencies during engine management programs. Furthermore, you will assist with producing Work Packs & Work Scope for both planned and ad-hoc Maintenance inputs, for the use of Line and Base colleagues. After a period of training it is expected that you will work a 4 days on, 4 days off shift pattern.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience as a Powerplant Engineer for either an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or commercial airline, although Licensed Engineers will be considered. Working knowledge of RB211 and CFM56 Powerplants is highly desirable, as is working knowledge of Boeing 737 and 757 aircraft. You will have the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders both internally and externally and you must have a flexible approach to working hours and travel. Excellent IT skills and experience using engineering maintenance software packages are required.
